::: new seafood pot pie from summerhill market!

We added a new pot pie to our menu - a delectable seafood pot pie loaded with shrimp, lobster, scallops, salmon, halibut and veggies in a light white wine cream sauce, topped with a layer of puff pastry.

The pie comes in one size (large),
it feeds 4-5 and retails for $39.98

::: recipe-of-the-month

Here's a recipe for a great sandwich, courtesy of Zingerman's Deli... one of my fav places to eat in the world...
"3 P's Sandwich"

Prepare an hour or two in advance so that the oil has a chance to soak into the bread.

ingredients

  • 1/4 cup mellow extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 ounces freshly grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese (about 1 cup)
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 freshly baked baguette,
    split lengthwise
  • 2 ounces of prosciutto di parma
    (about 2 slices, each 4-6 inches long and 2-3 inches wide)
  • 1 cup loosely packed fresh arugula leaves

method

  • In a medium bowl, mix the olive oil, parmigiano and pepper until smooth.
  • Spread the parmigiano mixture onto one baguette half.
  • Lay on the prosciutto and arugula, then the top slice of bread. Cut crosswise to make individual sandwiches. Let sit for an hour or two if possible (see note above).

::: march's sale items

Our "3 soups for $25" sale is back on, for the entire month of March. We had great success with this promotion in January, and considering the (continual) snowy, cold weather - soups are still a staple meal for so many of us.

We will also be offering the following specials during the week of March 7 - 12th only:

-$5 off our large macaroni with 3-cheeses (sale price - $23.98)
-$10 thin crust pizza's from Summerhill Market ($4 off!) *limit of 3 per customer
-20% off all cheese tortes, including our new mascarpone, dried fruit and chocolate cheese torte

In honour of St. Patrick, all beef pot pies will be 15% off during the week of Monday, March 14th - Saturday, March 19th!

::: unique treat idea

Looking for a unique treat to serve (or give away) at an upcoming wedding, graduation or milestone birthday?

Check out: www.mymms.com
to order personalized m & m's chocolate candies.

I first saw these custom treats at a catering convention a couple of years ago, when the L.A. based caterer "Good Gracious" filled hurricane vases with their personalized, black and white m & m's. The crowd definitely noticed!
